SALVAGED WOOD

Urban Hardwoods opened its newest showroom in SF at the beginning of March. Located at 553 Pacific Avenue, the Jackson Square store will display an array of modern solid wood furniture with the spotlight on dining tables. The furniture is made in Seattle from massive slabs of pacific madrone, sycamore, walnut, elm, and other trees that spent their lifetimes in Seattle. Each piece unique, each with a story to tell.
For more than ten years Seattle's Urban Hardwoods has been rescuing trees lost to disease and transforming them into beautiful furniture. Judged in 2008 by Sustainable Industries Magazine to be one of the nation's top ten green building products, Urban Hardwoods has led the way in urban tree salvage. Seattle Magazine chose Urban Hardwoods' Seattle showroom to be among the top 100 design destinations in the city for two years running.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Ryan.
